Montrose, Colo. -- Adelburg "Alma" Stevenson, 83, Montrose, died Thursday, June 20, 2002. Mrs. Stevenson was born Adelburg "Alma" Leiker on May 31, 1919, at Walker, Kan.

She was a former nun and teacher and had worked as a toll investigator with Mountain Bell, Golden, from 1973 to 1984.

Survivors include her husband, Sanford Orval Stevenson of Montrose; a stepdaughter, Karin Johnson of Golden; a brother, Henry Leiker of Salina, Kan.; five sisters, Leona Zerr of Hays, Kan., Mary K. Thiel of Hotchkiss, Alice Espinoza of Lafayette, Wilda Black of Wellington and Lynn Henry of Fort Morgan; and two step grandchildren.

The funeral was June 25 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Montrose. Burial was in Grand View Cemetery, Montrose. Crippin Funeral Home, Montrose, is handling arrangements.
