Margaret K. O'Hotto was born in Brainerd, Minnesota September 19, 1899 the daughter of George and Ottelia (Robie) Keough. She attended Brainerd Public Schools, graduating from Washington High School and continuing her education at St. Cloud Teachers College. After college Margaret taught six years in Minneapolis school system and was also a substitute teacher in St. Cloud and Alexandria.
Margaret was united in marriage to Henry O'Hotto on June 30, 1925, at St. Paul, Minnesota. Mrs. O'Hotto was past president and member of St. Mary's Guild, Christian Mothers and Daughters of Isabella, Stella Maria Circle of St. Cloud.
Mrs. O'Hotto died at the Knute Nelson Memorial Home, Alexandria, July 11, 1982. She is survived by her husband Henry of Alexandria; four daughters, Mrs. LeRoy (Jean) Poganski of St. Cloud, Mrs. Vern (Joan) Lindquist of Alexandria, Elizabeth Gillen of Brooklyn Center, and Mrs. William (Mary) Peters of Glenwood; seventeen grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two sisters Helen Keough of St. Paul and Rose Keough of Winter Haven, Florida.
Mass of Christian Burial was July 15, 1982 from St. Mary's Catholic Church, Alexandria with Father Arthur Hoppe and Father Joseph Korf officiating. Pallbearers were Mark and Paul Lindquist, David and James Peters and Michael and John Gillen. Entombment was at St. Mary's Mausoleum, Alexandria. Services directed by Alexandria Funeral Home.
