Earnie F. Surface, 70, Palm Beach Shores, Fla., a former Oronogo resident, died at 4 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, where he had been a paient for three weeks.
Mr. Surface was born Aug. 13, 1911, in Oronogo. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jean Surface; a son, Jerry Surface, Glendora, Calif.; a sister, Miss Dorothy Surface, Joplin; two brothers, John Surface, Phoenix, Ariz., and Cecil Surface, Palm Beach Shores, Fla., and a grandchild.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Father B.W. Harter will offociaite. Burial will be under the direction of Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home, Webb City. The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 today at the funeral home.
