Rollingstone, Minn. Peter Arnoldy, 78, a Rollingstone native, died at his home at 3:15 a.m. today of a heart attack. He had been ill for some time.

Arnoldy, with his two brothers, owned and operated a lumber company with yards at Rollingstone, Chatfield, and Minneiska. They sold out in 1949.


He is survived by his wife, Mary; three sons, Raymond, Rollingstone; Bernard, Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., and Francis, Bancroft, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs.Alois (Veronica) Rivers, Rollingstone, and Mrs. Norbert (Catherine) Rivers, Rochester; three brothers, John, Chatfield; Al, Minnesiska, and Theodore, Rollingstone, and three sisters, Mrs. Frank (Lizzie) Green, Seattle, Wash.; Agnes, Rollingstone, and Mrs. Pete (Celia) Majerus, Elba.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church, Rollingstone. Friends may call at the Kohner Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today and until the time of the funeral. The Rosary will be said by the St. Nicholas Society, of which he was a member, at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Winona Daily News, Aug. 22, 1955
