Sherman Thomas Wells, 74, of Hardy, AR died Oct 20, 2001 at his home.

Born May 25, 1927 in Morehouse, MO, he was the son of Levi A Wells and Myrtle McDaniels Wells. He was married Dec 21, 1947 in St. Louis MO to Letha Ernst.

He worked for many years as a carpenter, was a minister of Banks Baptist Church for close to 30 yrs. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps having served during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Letha; two sons and daughters-in-law - Jesse T and Andraw Wells of Hardy and Steve L and Robin Wells of Ozark Acres AR; 3 daughters and 2 sons-in-law - Dian and Will Harmon Weatherford TX, Darlene and Tommy Powell Red Rock OK, & Elaine Trucano of Fenton, MO.; 2 brothers Vernon Wells Perryville MO, Farrel Wells of Dudley, MO; 5 sisters - Wilma Break of Hardy AR, Teresa Mae Wells, Betty Wells, Opal Wells, all of Sikeston, MO, Carolyn Hayden of Charleston, MO and Mary Wells of St Louis, MO.; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parent; a brother, Harold Wells, and 2 sisters - Helen Lovins and Fay Ellen Wells
