WILLIAM H. CLARK
Malad - William Hyrum Clark, 73, of Malad, died Friday of a heart ailment at the home of a son, William Hyrum Clark Jr., in Blackfoot, Idaho.
Mr. Clark was born Nov. 1, 1889, in Malad, a son of William Hyrum and Harriet M. Williams Clark. He was married to Olive Jones on Dec. 28, 1910, in Malad.
He was a farmer in the Devil Creek area and had been chairman of the Oneida County Agriculture Conservation Association from 1941 to 1945. He had been secretary-treasurer of the Malad Valley Irrigation Co. from 1947 to 1948 and overseer of the rebuilding of St. John Reservoir.
Surviving are his widow, two sons and three daughters, William Hyrum Clark Jr., Blackfoot; O. Paul Clark, Malad; Mrs. Olive Swanson, Mrs. Twila Dunn, Mrs. Hilda Curtiss, all of Tacoma, Wash.; 11 grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Henry Nieffenegger, Mrs. Elizabeth B. Jones, both of Malad.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the Malad Third Ward Chapel with Bishop Lon W. Corbridge officiating. Friends may call at 192 W. 500 N. in Malad Sunday evening and Monday prior to services. Burial in Malad City Cemetery, directed by Benson Funeral Home.
