Alexander was my great grand uncle. Son of John Dingman and Margaret Sart.

Alexander Dingman, age 75 years. Worked as a farmer/laborer.

Civil War Veteran, Co. B, 176 N.Y. Vol. Infantry. Enlisted 11 August 1863 in Schenectady, N.Y., at the age of 24. Was discharged (Mustered out) 8 March 1864 for disability at New Orleans, LA.

Alexander was 5 ft. 6 inches tall, complexion: florid, eyes: hazel, hair: dark.

On April 28, 1895, Alexander Dingman married Mrs. Frances E. Mann.

Died from Brights Disease.
