DUBLIN --- Services for Dennis H. Barwick will be at 2 P.M. Friday in First Baptist Church in Dublin with burial in Dublin Memorial Gardens.
Barwick, 87, died Wednesday, April 7, 1999, in a local hospital. Born in Jeff Davis County, he was the son of the late Dennis Jefferson and Sarah Elizabeth Harrison Barwick.
A Mercer University graduate, he was an ordained Baptist minister and was a retired schoolteacher and administrator who served in Fitzgerald, Waycross, Columbus and Fulton County. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church in Dublin, the C.D. Graves Bible Class, Voices of Praise Choir and Sunday Morning Prayer Group.
Survivors include his sisters, Evelyn Lee of Douglas and Masie Love-Hobbs. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight in Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
