FRAZIER

Millie Ardella Frazier, daughter of Charles Edward and Demmie Retta Briggs, was born May 16, 1903, in Lucas County, Iowa and died on Feb. 16, 1995, at the Chariton Manor in Chariton, Iowa.

On Feb. 23, 1923, Millie was united in marriage to Loyd F. Frazier.

Millie and her husband spent most of their lives working side by side. They lived and worked most of their lives on their farm in Lucas County. Upon their retirement, they moved to Williamson, where they remained until Loyd passed away on Feb. 22, 1983, which was the day before their 60th wedding anniversary.

After the death of her husband, Millie remained in Williamson for only a short time before moving to Chariton. When she could no longer care for herself, she moved to the Chariton Manor.

Millie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Loyd, one brother, Arthur, in 1990 and one sister, Eva, in 1983.

She is survived by her brother, Roy Briggs, and two sisters-in-law, Louise Briggs and Nellie Briggs. Millie and Loyd were never blessed with children but had many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 18, 1995, at Fielding Funeral Home. Pastor Dave Tyree officiated. Burial was in the Coal Glen Cemetery.
