HULBERT WORKER DIES IN FALL

Chester Alexander Bailey, 40, of Hulbert, Oklahoma, died Tuesday, July 26, 1949, in Tulsa, Oklahoma when he tumbled from a scaffold while at work on a construction project on the University of Tulsa campus.

Bailey's brother, J.L. Bailey of Tulsa, head of the Bailey Steel Construction Company, said Chester died when he attempted to jump clear of a falling boom and landed head-first on a concrete wall 20 feet below.

Survivors include his widow, Edna, and four children, Pearl, Chester A. Jr., Joyce and Rayburn, all of the home in Hulbert; two other brothers, B.L. and W.O. Bailey, both of Tulsa; his father, J.I. Bailey of near Hulbert; four sisters, Mrs. Virgil Halpain, Mrs. Leslie Smith and Mrs. Lula Holman, all of Hulbert, and Mrs. Irene Yeager of Locust Grove, Oklahoma
