OBITUARY, Connersville [IN] News-Examiner, Thursday, August 14, 1968:
Bernie Pruet, 84, of Glenwood, died at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday in Jackson Nursing Home at Rushville. He was a retired farmer.
Mr. Pruet was born in Franklin County, the son of James and Jerusha Muse Pruet. He lived in the Glenwood, Andersonville and New Salem communities all his life and was a member of the New Salem Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, the former Mae Croddy; two sons, Lowell W. of near Rushville and Robert of Danville; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Moster and Sons Mortuary at Rushville, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday. Rev. Howard Jaquess will officiate. Entombment will be in East Hill Shrine Mausoleum.

Bernie Pruet, 84, of Glenwood, a retired farmer, died at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday in the Jackson Nursing Home where he had resided since January 27.
A former resident of the New Salem and Andersonville communities, Mr. Pruet was a member of the New Salem United Methodist Church.
He was born in Franklin County on February 29, 1884, a son of James and Jerusha Muse Pruet, and was married January 22, 1907, to Mae Croddy, who survives.
Surviving with the widow are two sons, Lowell W. Pruet. R. R. 2, and Robert Pruet of Danville, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Howard Jaquess will conduct services at 10 a.m. Saturday at Moster and Sons Mortuary, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday, with entombment in East Hill Shrine Mausoleum.
