OBITUARY, Connersville [IN] News-Examiner, Friday, October 29, 1954:

Clem Pruet, 67, Dies; Services To Be Held Sunday At Rushville

Clem Pruet, 67, of Connersville, died in Fayette Memorial Hospital at 1 p.m. Thursday. He had been in failing health for several weeks.

He was born in Franklin County, February 19, 1887, a son of James and Jerusha Muse Pruet. He had lived in Rush County prior to coming to Connersville in 1936.

He is survived by: three sons, Franklin of Arlington, James D. or Orange and Ted of Rushville; a brother, Bernie Pruet of Andersonville; 12 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Rites will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Moster Mortuary in Rushville, with Rev. Herbert Fitzpatrick officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after noon Saturday.

Clem Pruet, 67, Dies Thursday

Clem Pruet, 67, of Connersville, former Rush County resident, died at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Fayette Memorial Hospital in Connersville after an illness of two weeks.

He was born in Franklin County on February 19, 1887, a son of James and Jerusha Muse Pruet. His wife, Mrs. Ethel Croddy Pruet, died in 1939.

Mr. Pruet spent many years in the Andersonville community and also lived for a time in Rushville and Milroy. In his youth he was well known as an amateur baseball player.

He is survived by three sons, Ted of Rushville, James D. of Orange and Franklin of Arlington; one brother, Birney of Andersonville, 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Moster Mortuary here with interment in Hopewell Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after Saturday noon.

Clem Pruet, 67 years old, of Connersville, died at Fayette Memorial Hospital, last Thursday.

He was born in Franklin County but had lived in Rush County prior to living at Connersville.

Surviving are three sons; a brother, Bernie Pruet of Andersonville; twelve grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.
