John Edward McKenzie, 73, brother of Frank and Miss Mary McKenzie, this city, died suddenly this morning at his home in Mt. Savage. He was a retired coal mine operator. Mr. McKenzie belonged to St. Patrick's Catholic church, Mt. Savage, and was a member of the Holy Name Society of the parish. He operated a Mount Savage tavern a number of years ago. Also surviving are five children, John E. McKenzie, Jr., of Eckhart; Mrs. Grover Green and Mrs. William Lancaster, both of Mt. Savage; Mrs. Frederick DeMann, of Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Samuel Johnson, of Akron, Ohio; another brother, Washington McKenzie, of Butte, Mont., and one more sister, Mrs. Nora Sherman, of Wheeling.
