--MOUNT SAVAGE,MARYLAND -- Thelma Catherine (McKenzie) Green, age 85, of 12821 Jealous Row, N.W., Mount Savage, died Tuesday, March 9, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Born Nov. 14, 1913, in Mount Savage, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Katie (Lutz) McKenzie. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Grover E. Green, on July 19, 1995; and was the last member of her immediate family.

Mrs. Green was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Mount Savage. A life member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Ancient Order Hibernians, she also was a member of the Mount Savage Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.

Surviving are one daughter, Shirley Ann King, Cumberland; three sons, Edward G. Green, Mountain Lake Park, Robert J. Green, Pinkerington, Ohio, and Richard F. Green, Holden Beach, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian Wake service will be held at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. with Sister Joan Minella, S.S.N.D., officiating.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Mount Savage, with the Rev. Fr. Ed Hendricks as celebrant.

Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Don Rice, Ed Williams, Dick Walsh, Bill Pratt, Pat King and Eric Green.

The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Patrick's Church.
