Mr. Berry was born in Bamberg County on August 2, 1893, a son of the late Samuel and Mell Rhoad Berry. He was a Baptist and was a retired farmer.
Surviving are: one daughter, Mrs. D. L. Rhoad of Bamberg; one son, Harold Berry of Bamberg; one brother, Marion Berry of Ehrhardt; three half-sisters, Mrs. Rena McAlhany, Mrs. Minnie Reese [Reeves], and Mrs. Katie Dukes, all of Reevesville; three half-brothers, James B. Berry, John W. Berry, both of Branchville, and Oscar L. Berry of Reevesville; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
