He was born on a ranch in Texas, cowboy, rancher, cattle driver over the trails from Texas to Kansas markets.He with several of his brothers moved to Arizona settling in Gila county Arizona for a while where he was Deputy Sheriff.
From Arizona he moved to California and worked as a bit player in the early western movies.He worked in Wild West shows traveling to Argentina and Paraguay where his cousin outlaw George West Musgrave had settled.He was said to have been involved with his Musgrave cousins in some of their illegal doings and had no choice but to leave Arizona.
His sons took his wife Nora Franklin Walker with them when they returned to Arizona after the murder of his only daughter at the hands of her husband.His drinking by that time was out of control and he had become a threat to his wife. He lived out his days in a boarding house in California.
