OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN)

The death of Everett C. Bailey, 47, occurred Tuesday morning about 5:30 o'clock in the Wabash County hospital, where he had been a patient for the past three months. During that time he had undergone an operation. However, his death was unexpected.

Mr. Bailey was born in Wabash county Jan. 27, 1898 and had always resided here with the exception of 14 months residence in Hamilton, Ohio. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Bailey.

Formerly he was employed by the Wabash Cabinet company and lately by the Cardinal Cabinet company.

He was united in marriage Nov. 14, 1917 to Edna Murphy, who survivse. Others surviving are three sons, Gilbert, with the army in the South Pacific, David, with the army in Europe, and Wilbur, at home, two daughters, Mrs. Don Eckhart and Rosalie, both at home, two brothers, Charles, Lagro, and Tom, Fort Wayne, five sisters, Mrs. Jessie Bricker, Andrews, Mrs. Ollie Hartwig, and Mrs. Myrtle Schell, Huntington, Mrs. Mildred Harrell, Lagro, and Mrs. Hazel Watts, Marion, and five grandchildren.

The decedent was a member of the Middle Street Methodist church and the Rev. Ben Hershberger, pastor, will have charge of the services which will be announced after word has been received from the sons in the army.

The body will be removed from the Wire Funeral home to the family residence, 1333 Glenn Avenue, Monday evening, where friends may call.
