The many friends of Mrs. Cora McChesney Berry were shocked on Friday to receive word of her death in Denver, Colorado, where she had gone on account of her health. Deceased was a daughter of the late Dr. R.A. McChesney of Middlebrook, where she was born about 40 years ago. She was a niece of Mrs. S.C. Eichelberger, Mrs. S.C. Baker, Mrs. J.O. Hobbs and Miss Lizzie Baylor of this city, and a cousin of the McChesneys of Staunton and Hogsheads of Middlebrook.
She married Dr. Berry and went to Birmingham, Ala., where they resided. About two years ago Mrs. Berry's health failed and she went to Denver in hope of improving it. She is survived by her husband and two little daughters. For a number of years she had been a visitor during the heated term at Variety Springs, where she was very popular. The remains were brought here and interred in the family lot in Thornrose cemetery. The funeral took place Wednesday from the residence of Mrs. S.C. Eichelberger.
