Age 82, of Owosso, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at Memorial Healthcare.
Mrs. Ostipow was a homemaker.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 9, at Nelson-House Funeral Home, with Pastor David Maltzan officiating. Visitation at the funeral home will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will take place at Easton Cemetery.
Leona was born Dec. 12, 1923 in Owosso, the daughter of Nick and Grace (VanHorn) Hollenback.
On Feb. 12, 1940, she married Steve Ostipow at the Church of Christ in Owosso. She was a member of the Easton Church of Christ.
Survivors include: her children, Barbara Wilson and friend Tom of Kaleva, William (JoAnn) Ostipow of Chesaning, Jerry (Royetta) Ostipow of Owosso, James Ostipow of Owosso and David (Brenda) Ostipow of Weidman; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth (Cecil) Hollenback of Vassar and Dale (Jane) Hollenback of Owosso; four sisters, Loretta (Mart) Gorman of Owosso, Dorothy (Bob) Partcher of Arizona, Donna (Phil) Banghart of Henderson and Molly (Bud) Yeiter of Owosso; and sister-in-law, Jackie Hollenback.
She was predeceased by her husband, Steve; and brother, Eugene.
