She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and the daughter of the late Cephus E. and Mary Walls Medford and was the wife of the late Joseph Keller Gaddy who died in 1993. She was an active member of Dutch Cove Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters; Jacqueline Hyde and her husband Roy , Patsy Reynolds and her husband William, and Janie Deweese all of Canton, two sons; James "Jim" Gaddy and his wife Louise and David Gaddy and his wife Loretta all of Canton, one sister; Mary C. Thompson of Canton, two brothers; Iro Medford and Lewin Medford, both of Canton, 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 24, 2002 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes. Entombment will follow at the Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel of Faith. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2002 at the funeral home.
