She was born in Cherokee County, S.C.; daughter of the late John A. and Geneva Beheler Bell, and was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Casper H. Spargo, a son Larry Dean Spargo, a brother Clarence Bell and three sisters Blanche Lowe, Violet Duncan, and Jean Austin.
She was retired from Ti-Caro and was a member of First Baptist Church in Stanley.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Stroupe and husband Tim of Alexis, Kelly Roper and husband Jeff of Iron Station; three sisters, Sue Teague and husband Arris of Belmont, Wilma Thomas of Charlotte, Lucille Jerozal of Williamsburg, Va.; a brother-in-law, Elmer Lowe of Belmont; two grandchildren, Josh Stroupe and wife Jennifer of Alexis, Jessi Overkamp of Stanley; and two great-grandchildren, Evan and Nathan Stroupe.
Funeral service conducted by the Rev. Ron Caulder will be held 3 p.m. Sunday in the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Gardens.
