DALLAS, NC- Funeral services will be held Wednesday for Robert C. Murphy, Carpetern St., who died early Monday morning when his automobile was struck by a train.
The 3 p.m. services at Webbs Chapel Baptist Church will be followed by burial in the church cemetery.
Both Murphy, 39, and his four-year-old daughter Pamela were apparently killed instantly. Funeral arrangements for the child will be announced later.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Arvene Owens Murphy; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Warren Murphy of Dallas; two sons, Ricky and Mike; one daughter, Janice; and one sister, Mrs. Bernice Putnam of Cleveland, Ohio.
The body will lie in State at the church one hour prior to services. Dallas Funeral Home made the arrangements.
