DEATH OF AN OLD CITIZEN
It is with sorrow that we chronicle the death of Mr. John W. Herring who passed from this life to the great beyond on last Sunday. Mr. Herring has been in declining health for several years and since the death of his wife, which occurred the first of July last, his strength has rapidly failed and his death, though a shock to his family and friends, was not unexpected. His remains were buried at the old Herring grave yard, west of the Homochitto, last Tuesday. His bereaved family have our deepest sympathy.
