SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Rex M. Festervan, 85, will be held at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2006. Reverend Ron Seitz will officiate, of First Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Ave.
The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Funeral home Southside Drive from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 2, 2006.
He was born on January 7, 1921 in Vivian, LA to the late Thomas and Sally Festervan. He passed away on September 30, 2006 in Shreveport, LA.
He proudly served his country during WWII in the Army Air Corps and retired from Sunbeam Bakery.
Rex was preceded in death by his wife, Ernie Festervan.
He is survived by sons, Tommy Festervan and wife, Dona and Wes Festervan and wife, June; grandchildren, Eddie and wife, Yvette, Dorothy and husband, Jerry, James and wife, Dawn, Keith and wife, Sharon, Tammy and husband, Wayland, April and husband, Glynn and Teresa and husband, Glynn and Teresa and husband, Charles; great-grandchildren, Kristin, J.J., Destiny, Brittany, Dayna, Hunter, Devin, Kelsi, Derienne, Ariel, Mark and Tristan and other extended family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Festervan, Keith Festervan, James Maples, Charles Doyle, Wayland Meshell and Glynn Stewart.
