The Last Will and Testament of Samuel W. Higgerson of the Town of Eastern in the County of Franklin and State of Illinois made and published the 23rd day of September in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and Five.

In the Name of God, Amen. I, Samuel W. Higgerson of the Township of Eastern in the County of Franklin and State of Illinois of the age of 87 years, and being of sound mind and memory, do hereby make, publish and declare this my LAST WILL and TESTAMENT in manner following, that is to say:

FIRST - It is my will that my funeral expenses and all my just debts by fully paid.

SECOND - I give and bequeath to Elizabeth Higgerson, my beloved wife a life Estate Homestead and Dowe(lling?) __ ne the land that I own at the time of my death in case She out lives me. also I Give to My wife one (horse and Buggy -have been marked out) and Cow and Calf. (That She is to have all of the personal property such as household goods and any other she owned at the time of our marriage. And My Executors hereafter appointed shall See that She is taken Care of and provided will (with?) all the necessaries of life.

I give and bequeath to my children and Grand-children the names are as follows Torrist (?) - Sarah Soper, Mary Moten, Nancy Kilgore, Clemency Minter Martha Monteith, Theodocia E. Bann and Josephine Tucker, my daughters and Paul Sanders and Mabel Sanders children of Jane Sanders. My Daughter. Pearl Faulk. Daughter ___ Fault Daughter of mine and Frank Higgerson and Dora Higgerson children of John Higgerson who was my Son. the said Grand children to Share the interest of their parent if they were living and _berry (?) Higgerson. George Higgerson, Abel Higgerson (Second Page) Edwin Higgerson, Herbert Higgerson Samuel Higgerson, My Sons and Agness Higgerson my daughter-in-law. The the above parties are to have an equal portion of my Estate both Real personal and __iped that I may own at the time of my death. My Grand-children above named is to Share their parents part the same as their parents would take if they were living. Tis my will that my estate at the time of my death be divided Equally among My heirs as above set forth Agnes Higgerson to have one share with the others.

It is my will that my Executors dispose of my Estate within two years from the time of my Death according to their own Judgement according to the best interest of all the parties herein Mentioned. They Can Sell the house (?) and Executed Deeds _o the Real Estate. They Can Sell at public or private Sale all of the property both Real or personal or they may divide the Some (?) of it Can be ___ in the interest of the above parties.
__That and Soon as My Executors Sell or dispose of my or all of my property they must divide the proceeds as soon as they conveniently can the money arising from Such Sale to the parties and their Guardians above mentioned.
That my Executors are authorized to employ C. C. _ayne Attorney to aid them to Settle my Estate after my death.
