Short Illness Fatal To T.R. Eppler; Final Rites Sunday

Long Time Resident Of This Community Dies In Chickasha Hospital
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday for T.R. "Bob" Eppler, well known resident of the community southwest of town the past 36 years. He died Saturday, October 24 in a Chickasha hospital after an illness of a little more than a week.
Rev. O.W. Eudaley, pastor, conducted the service at the Church of the Nazarene and burial was made in the Carnegie cemetery under direction of the Pitcher Funeral home.
Thomas Robert Eppler was born at Springtown, Texas February 25, 1881 ad was 61 years of age at his death. He came with his parents to Oklahoma at an early age and has since made his home in the state.
On September 4, 1904 he was married to Myrtle Elizabeth Bandy and to them four daughters were born. One daughter died September 14, 1924 and Mrs. Eppler passed away January 27, 1941.
In 1926 Mr. Eppler was licensed to preach by the Church of the Nazarene and in 1936 became an ordained elder. Failing health caused him to give up the ministry and he turned to the management of his farm.
Survivors include the three daughters, Miss Litha Eppler, Lawton, mrs. Veda Troub, Oklahoma City and Mrs. Dorothy Holden, Carnegie and tow grand daughters. Also three brothers, John, Alex and George Eppler and three sisters, Mrs. Litha Summers, Mrs. Etta McCurdy and Mrs. Hanna Dolan as well as many friends.
