GLOYD EARL HARPER, son of Elisha and Margaret Ellen Harper was born at Windsor, Illinois, September 18, 1891---passed away at his home in Olney, January 28, 1942, age 50yr 4mo 10days. He moved with his parents to Richland County in 1901 near Calhoun.
He was united in marriage to Maude Nicholas, November 15, 1912.
To this union were born three children:
1 - Mrs. (Anna) John Ohm, of Olney
2 - George Robert and
3 - Lynn at home.
He was engaged in work at the International Shoe Factory for twenty years until about three months before his death. He leaves besides his wife and children, one grandchild, Mervin Ohm,
three sisters:
1 - Mrs. Mary Wall
2 - Mrs. Martha McWilliams, of Mattoon and
3 - Mrs. Flora Atterberry of Olney
one brother:
1 - Clarence Harper of Louisville, IL.
