Eddie Horton Ball, 79, of Raven, Va., died Thursday night in a Richlands, Va., hospital following a long illness.
Born in Russell County, Va., she was a daughter of the late Al-Marine and Bell Richardson Horton. She was a member of Road Ridge Assembly of God Church near Raven.

Survivors include her husband, Albert Ball; four daughters, Mrs. Ethel Shortt and Mrs. Myrtle Shortt of Raven, Mrs. Alta Lowe of Elkton, Md., and Mrs. Opal Johnston of Opiqua, Ohio; five sons, Lawrence, Marvin, Dahmon, James and Donald Ball of Raven; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Sisk of Swords Creek, Va., Mrs. Maudie Wilson and Mrs. Bell Ball of Raven; one brother, Chris Horton of Shortt Gap, Va.; forty two grandchildren, thirty three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Raven Assembly of God Church, with Rev. B.H. Miller and Rev. Dale Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in the Ball family cemetery.
The body will be taken from Mullins Funeral Home of Richlands to the church one hour prior to the services.
