MRS. FRANCOIS BERGER MORAN
WASHINGTON, Nov. 13 - - Mrs. Francois Berger Moran, socially prominent in the life of Washington for many years died this morning at 9 o'clock at her residence, 2150 Wyoming avenue. She had been ill for several weeks. Her daughters, Mrs. Horace MacFarland and Mrs. Malcolm Stuart McConib, were at her bedside.
Mrs. Moran, formerly Jane Blackburn, daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Richard Scott Blackburn of Clarks county, Virginia, was born Nov. 14, 1841, at her parents; estate in Virginia. She was married in her early twenties in Berryville, Va., and with her husband and two daughters came to Washington at the beginnig of the Roosevelt adminstration.
From the first she took an active part in the social life of the city and their home at 2255 New Hampshire avenue, which they purchased a year after their arrival, was the scene of many brilliant functions.
