"Riley Stafford, aged 64 years and a resident of the Mississippi gulf coast for the past 40 years, died this morning at the residence of Mrs. Skinner, No. 227 Maple street. Mr. Stafford was born at Meridian, Miss., May 23 1839. He was a member of the Oystermen's Protective Association at the time of his death and members of that orginazation are requested to attend his funeral, which takes place from the Skinner residence at Point Cadet, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock".
