BATH, S.C. - Mrs. Lucille Best Duncan, 82, of Bath, SC, beloved wife of the late Pastor Clifton C. Duncan and daughter of the late Paul and Maude Bazemore Best, died Friday, May 22nd, 2009. Born in Sylvania, GA, she had been a resident of Aiken County, SC, most of her life. She retired from Graniteville Company where she was a Weaver after twenty- eight years of service. Mrs. Duncan was a member of Mid-Valley Baptist Church and the Aiken Shrine Club Ladies Auxiliary. Family members include a step- son, Rev. Owen Duncan, Mooresboro, NC; brothers, the late Paul Henry Best, the late Robert Best and the late Clyde Best, sisters, the late Ruby Beck and the late Janie Brantley, nephews and nieces, Grady Scott, Langley, SC, Ronell Scott, Langley, SC, Helen Waters, Bath, SC, Roland Beck, Jr., Bath, SC, William Best, Clearwater, SC, Alton Best, Beech Island, SC, Jimmy Best, Beech Island, SC, Paulette Clemons, Beech Island, SC, Patsy Shoaf, North Augusta, SC, Audie Brantley, Edgefield, SC, Russell Brantley, Aiken, SC, Kim Murdaugh, Beaufort, SC, Bobby Best, Lyons, GA and Terry Best, and many great-nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 24th, 2009, at 2 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC, with Pastor Bert Baynham and Pastor Jim Kirk officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens, Aiken, SC. The family has asked that memorials in memory of Mrs. Duncan be made to Mid-Valley Baptist Church.
