NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Paul H. Best died Sept. 23.
The Sylvania native was a farmer for 70 years and retired from DuPont with 25 years of service. He was a member of Capers Chapel United Methodist Church.
The World War II veteran was a member of the Beech Island Agricultural Club, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a former Farm Burwau and SRP Federal Credit Union board member.
Survivors: his wife, Dorothy Brittain Best of North Augusta; three sons, William P. Best, Sr., Alton C. Best and Jimmy Best of North Augusta; a daughter, Paulette B. Clemmons of Augusta; three sisters, Ruby Lee Becl of Bath, Lucille Duncan of Aiken, and Janie Brantley of Langley; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and several other relatives.
Visitation: 6-9 p.m. today at the Hatcher Funeral Home, Langley.
Funeral: 3 p.m., Wednesday at Hatcher Funeral Home, burial in Capers Chapel Cemetery.
