Edith (Note: Her given first name at birth was Idaline,which she legally changed to Edith while attending Ole Miss,in honor of the author Edith Wharton) graduated with the highest scholastic honors given by the University of Mississippi in Latin, circa 1910( I.E. the Col.Marcus Elvis Taylor award ) After her marriage and relocation to Memphis, TN from McComb she became an award winning tennis player, a noted English saddle horse rider and an avid breeder of champion Airedale Terriers. Following the Depression, she was a copy editor for the Commerical Appeal newspaper in Memphis and owned and managed several boarding homes in town. She had a home on Popular Blvd. in the Overton Park area of Memphis and was a second cousin of the noted clairvoyant,Edgar Cayce. She was the wife of Frank Collins Lee and mother of Frank Cayce Lee and Virginia Lee, all of whom are buried in the Hollywood Cemetery Lee family plot with her.
