John W. Still Dies Following Illness.

John W. Still, aged 76 years, farmer and great citizen of this county near Penton, died at his home on Monday morning of this week, following a paralytic stroke suffered several years ago.
The deceased was a life long resident of Chambers County, a good and substantial citizen, member of the Mount Hickory Baptist Church, where he had served a useful and influential life. Active, energetic and self-sustaining he was alert and progressive to the end.
From old Mount Hickory church on Tuesday afternoon, July 4th, at three o'clock the last rites for the deceased were read by Elders Banks, Prather and Parrish. Interment was in the Mount Hickory Cemetery, with Robinson & Cutler, LaFayette undertakers, in charge of arrangements.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. H. H. Benton, Penton; Mrs. Perry D. Lamb, LaFayette and Miss Johnnie Still, Buffalo, and a wealth of relatives and friends throughout the county.
Grandsons of the deceased were pallbearers.
