Mrs. Stafford, who had been visiting with a daughter, Mrs. Maude Dotts, for the past three months died Monday night. Eighty-two years old, she had been in ill health for sometime. Her husband, the late John Stafford, preceded her in death five years ago.
In Clovis Mrs. Stafford made her home at 710 Wallace. She and Mr. Stafford came to Curry County to make their home in 1907. Interment is to be beside her husband in the Texico Cemetery.
Officiating for the funeral rites will be Dr. B. P. Madox. Pallbearers will be J. A. Lierd, Dave St. Clair, John Droke, E. A. Sanders, Walter Ewers, Tom Burnett Sr., and Tom Burnett Jr.
Besides the daughter, Mrs. Stafford is also survived by two sons, J. H. Stafford of Clovis and R. O. Stafford of Compton, Calif, a brother, John Anderson of Grapevine, Texas; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
