Roger W. Love, 73 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away at 9:22 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2009 in the Parkview Hospital located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Roger was a Monroeville area resident for 46 years.
Roger was born on December 27, 1935 in New Haven, Indiana the son of the late Emmet C. Love and the late Emma C. (Stute) Love. He married Betty J. Sowers on December 18, 1955 in Convoy, Ohio and she survives.

Roger was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Monroeville, Indiana; the Navy Club in New Haven, Indiana; and the Eagle's Lodge in Kendallville, Indiana.

Roger was a warehouse foreman retiring in 1997 after 43 years with Schinnerer & Truemper General Contractors which is now CME Company.

Surviving are his wife, Betty J. Love of Monroeville, Indiana; son, Bryan W. (Diane) Love of North Port, Florida; daughter, Lori J. (Jon) Carlson of New Haven, Indiana; son, Kent R. (Rebecca) Love of Edgerton, Indiana; brother, Jerry A. (Barb) Love Sr. of Monroeville, Indiana; sister, Gloria (Herman) Lothamer of Monroeville, Indiana; sister, Patricia (Harold) Castle of Monroeville, Indiana; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Preceding Roger in death were five brothers, Walter, Emmet Jr., Grover, Richard, and Robert Love; and three sisters, Helen Kees, Annabelle (Martin) Wells, and Wilma Clark.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2009 in the St. Mark's Lutheran Church with the Rev. William Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2009 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana and one hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday.

Preferred memorials are to St. Mark's Lutheran Church or the Monroeville EMS.
