Robert E. Love, 79, of New Haven, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in New Haven, he was the son of Emmet and Emma Love and a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven. The U.S. Army veteran was a member of the Navy Club Ship #245. He retired after 33 years of service from the Do it Best Center in 1990. He also worked many years after retirement for the Fort Wayne Auto Auction. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Audine; children, Steve Love of Fort Wayne, Marsha Lortie of Fort Wayne, Jo Ellen (Steve) Schaadt of New Haven, Robert (Sue) Love of New Haven; siblings, Gloria Lothamer, Roger Love, Jerry Love, Pat Castle all of Monroeville; nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Scott Love, Andrew Schaadt; siblings, Helen, Walter, Wilma, Grover, Richard, Emmet, and Annabelle. Service is 10:30 a.m. Monday at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 800 Green St., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Calling also Sunday 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 Indiana Hwy. 930 E., New Haven. Burial is in the church cemetery. Preferred memorials are to Emanuel Lutheran Church or Donor's Choice.
