Mrs. Katherine E. Schotthoefer, late resident of 717 North Cottage street, at a local hospital Wednesday, September 8. Survived by daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Jonientz of Seattle, Miss Elizabeth Schotthoefer of Salem, Mrs. Theresa Saalfeld of Eugene, Sister Barbara Maria of Spokane, Mrs. Barbara Minden, Sublimity; sons, William Schotthoefer, Salem, Richard Schotthoefer, of Stayton; also Mrs. Helen Irmen of Cathay ND, Mrs. Katherine Stark of Salem, Mrs. Mary Maxson of Bremerton, Mrs. Constance Ossman and Miss Hildegarde Schotthoefer of Washington, DC, Mrs. Frances Garner of Los Angeles, Joseph Schotthoefer of Detroit and Fred Schotthoefer of Peoria, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Barbara Kastenbauer of Manette, Wash., and Mrs. Antoinette Locker of Bremerton, Wash. Also surviving are several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Recitation of the rosary at the Clough-Barrick chapel Friday, September 10, at 8 p.m. Requiem mass Saturday, September 11, at 9 ;30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic church. Interment in St. Barbara cemetery.
