William Wesley "Sonny" Hutto, of Reevesville, entered into eternal rest May 19, 2009 in Walterboro.

Sonny was born a son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Lena Mae Moorer Hutto.

He was a graduate of St. George High School and served in the U.S. Navy and the National Guard. He was a retired conservation officer with the S.C. Department of Natural Resources where he was selected Officer of Year in 1976 for District 4. Former owner of Hutto's Gulf Station in Reevesville.

Sonny was an avid outdoorsman and everyone enjoyed good times at his "Clubhouse" in Reevesville. He was a member of Old St. George Baptist Church and Charleston National Historical Society.

Surviving are his wife Sara Chandler Hutto, a daughter Carla H. O'Toole, son-in-law John P. "Jack" O'Toole, sisters Irene H. Felder and Alice H. Hartzog and sister-in-law Inez H. "Phil" McCollum all of Reevesville.

He was predeceased by siblings John Thomas Hutto, George M. Hutto, Carrie Mae H. Baker, Ruby H. Reeves, and Margaret H. Myers.

Interment was in Old St. George Baptist Church.
