Funeral services for John A. Antley, 82, of 301 Arthur St., West Monroe, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Sikes Sherron [sic Sharon] Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Cook officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Monroe.

Mr. Antley died late Tuesday in the Glenwood Hospital following a short illness.

A native of Lincoln parish, he had been living in West Monroe. He was a retired grocer.

He is survived by three sons, George H. Antley of Dry Prong, Lloyd C. Antley and A. F. Antley, both of West Monroe; two daughters, Mrs. Alma Ford of Monroe and Mrs. Maudie Edn[e]y, West Monroe; one brother, E. E. Antley of Tallulah; one sister, Mrs. Leddie Wilson of Monroe; 19 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren.
