Mrs. John (Sara Alice) Antley, 70, of West Monroe, died Sunday evening of sudden illness at a Monroe clinic. She was a sister of Mrs. Vennie Hatten of Columbia community.

Funeral services were held at the Sherron [sic Sharon] Baptist church near Sikes Tuesday morning, with the Rev. Frank Smith in charge.

Burial was made in the nearby cemetery.

Among other survivors are her husband, three sons, three daughters, 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, a brother and three other sisters besides Mrs. Hatten.
