Everett E. Phillips, fifty-one, Sunnyside, Lancaster R7, was stricken fatally while working on the frame of a toy wooden wagon in the basement of his home at noon Monday.
City policemen Edward Snyder and Edward Peterman rushed the victim by ambulance to the General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival by Dr. Charles Combe, an intern. Dr. Gilbert N. Clime, deputy coroner, said death was due to a heart attack.
Mrs. Phillips told police her husband had been under the care of a physician for the past year for a heart condition.
Phillips was born in W. Va., and was a son of Olive England Phillips, Lititz R3 and the late Earl Phillips. He lived in Lancaster for the past eight years.
Surviving besides his mother, are his wife, at home; a daughter, Miss Irene, Ronks R2; and these brothers and sisters; Ada, wife of Stephen Retallick; Pauline, wife of Alva Helmick; Geraldine, wife of Howard Elliott; and Gordon J., all of Lancaster; Evelyn, wife of Robert Adderton, South Carolina; and Nina, wife of Eugene DeWitt, Lititz R3.

Entered into rest in Lancaster, Pa. on July 30th 1964. Everett E. Phillips, husband of Betty Lou Elliott Phillips of R7 Sunnyside, Lancaster in his 52nd year. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from The Funeral Home of Fred F. Groff, Inc. 234 West Orange Street Lancaster on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. Interment Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.
