(1) PERSONAL INFORMATION: G. W. West, 80 year old male white farmer, widowed, son of David West born in Alabama & Fannie Brown born in Alabama.
(2) INFORMANT: J. T. West of Rockdale, Texas.
(3) BURIAL/REMOVAL: Harmony Cemetery in Rockdale, Texas on 11-15-24.

FAMILY/RESEARCH NOTES:
1. DISCREPANCIES ON TXDC:
(#1) Birth date on death certificate has been altered to show 1840, but age of deceased is 80. George is 4 years old in the 1850 census.
(#2) Mother's name is wrong. It is Caroline Weaver. J. T. West was the informant on both his father's TXDC in 1917 & his uncle's George's in 1924. He got the mother's name right in 1917, but not in 1924.
(#3) I question the middle initial --- only because I have found no other legal document with middle name or initial on it. But, I haven't found George in the 1900 census and that's a 30 year span between 1880-1910. I do realize that the 1910 & 1920 census show him with the middle initial W.
(#4) One other interesting item --- in the 1910 George is shown as Divorced & in the 1920 census and TXDC , he's shown as a widow.
