Katherine "Tine" Kueck Asendorf, 101, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2009. Tine was born in Westerwede, Germany. She arrived in the United States in November 1927, following her fiance, Hermann Asendorf (now deceased), and married in December 1927 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in the Bronx, N.Y.
She is survived by three daughters, Katherine Connolly and husband, Eddie, of Tillson, N.Y., Meta Stevens, of Allen, Texas, and Etta Asendorf, of Alamogordo; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2009, at Trinity Lutheran Church on College with Pastor Bill Heithold officiating.
Interment will follow at Monte Vista Cemetery.
