Albert Andrews, 80, died March 15, 2008 at Craven Regional Medical Center.
Albert served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a charter member of Neuse Forest Presbyterian Church, a choir member and in the Men's Fellowship Group. Albert enjoyed fishing, gardening, and baking, especially chocolate cake and banana puddings. He enjoyed playing Scrabble with his family and hunting with his friends at the Croatan Sportsman's Club.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Rawls Andrews of New Bern; his son, Keith Andrews and wife, Beth, of New Bern; his three daughters, Linda Dickinson and husband, Bill, of Beaufort, Sharon DeCamp and husband, Earl, of New Bern, and Denise Saulter and husband, Mike, of Beaufort; his brother, Dalton Andrews and wife, Vicky, of New Bern; two brothers-in-law, Howard Rawls and Herbert Rawls of New Bern; his sister-in-law, Louise Andrews of Virginia Beach, Va.; nine grandchildren, Jeffrey and Kevin DeCamp of New Bern, Stephanie Adams and husband, Daniel, of Baltimore, Md., Jeremy Dickinson and wife, June, of Wilmington, Jamie Lynn Dickinson of Beaufort, Lindsey Kaufman and husband, Michael, of South Africa, Whitney Saulter of South Africa, Zachary Saulter and fianc?, Amanda Hamilton, of Wilmington and Taylor Andrews of New Bern; and his great-granddaughter, Caroline Dickinson of Wilmington.
Services will be held Monday, March 17, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Neuse Forest Presbyterian Church with Reverend Steve Mabie officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, March 16, 2008 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Cotten Funeral Home & Crematory.
