Mable L Briggs 84 of Georgetown died Monday Nov 8 1993 in Hopewell Healthcare Center in Sumter.
Funeral services will be today Thursday Nov 11 1993 at 11 am in Graham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev Clifford Coursey and the Rev Billy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mrs Briggs was born in Georgetown County on Sept 1 1909 a daughter of the late William H Conklin and Lilly Scurry Conklin. She was formerly married to William M Altman. She was a former employee of Copleston’s Cleaners and King Street Cleaners in Georgetown and later moved to Myrtle Beach and owned and operated her own dry cleaners. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are two sons William M Altman Jr of High Point NC and James E Altman of Peak; three daughters Marie Wyman of Silver Springs MD Eleanor Witt of St Charles Mo and Shirley Anderson of Georgetown 20 grandchildren 20 great grandchildren one great great grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.
