"Barney" lived to be 86, dying in Tuscola Health Care Center; the son of George and Rosa M. Grostephon Lecher. He was a farmer and retired from USI Chemical Co., Tuscola, where he worked as a laborer. He also was a handyman. He was a member of Forty Martyrs Catholic Church and a charter member of the Knights of Columbus. He married Mary Magdalena Kleiss on Jan. 27, 1942, in Pesotum and had 3 children.
Surviving are his wife; son, David; daughter, Barbara, 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Philip Ray Lecher; brother, Pete Lecher; infant sister,
Bernadatte Lecher; and sister, Edna Mae Nofftz.
