She married Mr. Higley August 29, 1893, in Wilton Junction, Iowa. He died in September 1932. Surviving are three daughters and three step-daughters, Mesdames CW Newsom, New York City, RJ Spencer, Ottawa, EW Kemmins, Phillips, Texas; HL Ratliff, Riverside, California, Ruth Phillips, Banning, California, and WD Clark, Palatka, Florida; two grandsons and five granddaughters; and a brother, RC Cooling, Wilton Junction. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
