Preston Shannon, Contractor, Dies
Preston F. Shannon, 86, of 1622 Lower Huntington Road died at 2:30 p.m. yesterday in Turtle Creek Convalescent Centre South.

Mr. Shannon, a lifelong Fort Wayne resident, was a self-employed general contractor 62 years before retiring in 1969. He had been a member of the old Citizens Band and had taught musice several years.

Surviving are his wife, Jennie F.; a daughter, Mrs. Esther M. Arney of Fort Wayne; a brother, Alton of Fort Wayne; and a sister, Mrs. Al Johnson of Port Richey, Fla.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Chalfant-Perry-Klaehn Funeral Home, where calling will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Age 87. Buried 2/25/1974.
