Lennie Hollifield McKinney, age 78 of Marion passed away Thursday, November 11, 2004 at The McDowell Hospital.
Mrs. McKinney was born in McDowell County on June 2, 1926 and was a daughter of the late Charlie Hollifield and Dessie Huskins Brown Hollifield.
She was a homemaker and was a member of Turkey Cove Baptist Church. A brother, Ray Hollifield; a sister Allie Biddix and her husband Jack; a half brother, Thurman Hollifield; a half sister Jamie Brown Shufford and a brother-in-law Clifford Early preceded her in death.
Mrs. McKinney is survived by her husband Russell McKinney of the home; two sons, David McKinney and wife Marilyn of Marion and Ronald McKinney and wife Ila of Clarksville, TN; two sisters, Louise Haynes and her husband Boyce and Lucy Early, both of Marion; sister-in-law, Frances Hollifield; half sister, Wilma Hollifield; three grandchildren, Jennifer Jackson and Joshua McKinney of Marion and Chad McKinney of Clarksville, TN; three great grandchildren, Zachary Richardson, Callie McKinney and Cassie McKinney; two step grandchildren, Travis Crowder of Spruce Pine and Christopher Crowder of Wisconsin and a number of nieces and nephews.
